1929 Ford Tudor

Not many of the hot rods I show have a racing heritage , unless it raced once and has sat in a show room since . This 28 roadster was'nt that fortunate , Jim the owner of this Hot rod , has a picture of this car's past life . Nothing like an old picture of a dirt track car , from what year I'm unsure . But the picture appears to be from the 30s , so if I call the rod lucky its not because of its" luck of the Irish " green .

As you can tell Jim likes chrome , and lots of it ! And this chevy 327 motor has lots . From the Edelbrook intake down to the stearing box , with the addition of Billet Specialties engine components. Really the only thing not chromed is the 650 carb , and the very nice ceramic headers and exhaust . Putting the power through a 2 speed power glide ; to an olds rear end .

As you can see from its racing days , the doors have been welded shut . So there are little Ford foot pegs to stand on , and jump in from there . A bright yellow , going back to the red flames is a nice touch . This metal bodied car to this day is a daily driver. It was so nice this day we did not put on the motor cover or the rag top , but they sure come in handy . With a fully chromed dropped front end and bumper is a nice touch !

Riding on a set of Boyd Coddingten rims , with Cooper Cobras all around . With 185 70 14s on the frnt. and some fat 295 50 15s on the back .

. Sorry for no interior shots but , I'm sure I will see Jim around someday . So dont be surprised if they are added at a later date .

hope you enjoy the photos Hot Rod Canada . com
