This web site is mostly devoted to racing and rodding , but my love for cars does,nt stop there . This year a Lexus that parallel parks at the push of a button . Cars are adult toys and if you like all the bells and whistles , so do I . And will be going over afew top of the line cars from different manufactures . All the luxury cars have gps, on screen touch controls , with voice activation you can personalize to your own voice or language .

Ford presented its new in-car digital system called SYNC . It will accept many electronic items such as MP3 players etc.. Other features voice activated , hands free calling . Impressive audible text messaging with voice activated music . The GPS is map and voice , and the thing will tell you everything right down to the closest 5 Greek restuarants , and how far they are . A very impressive and valuable piece of equipment when your traveling .

2007 Range Rover has added 2 options that you will either hate or love . The first option is the air bag suspension with 1 knob adjusting 3 heights ; access , normal , off-road . The second option being road condition , snow ice grass , ruts, sand , normal , rock crawling . The system adjusts your braking and shift points for you . The full time 4 wheel drive has a convenient switch for your high , low range . The GPS in the Range Rover includes off road , and if asked tells you where and how far to the nearest gas station .



The feature car of the show was a Mercedes- McLaren called the McLaren SLR , with the impressive looks and creature comforts of a Mercedes sports car . With a McLaren race technology drive train and suspension . As pointed out by Bob Vilas to start the car it must recognize your thumb print on the shifter , and it will allow you to press down to engage the starter . The SLR looks like an average sports car at a glance , but its a wolf in sheeps clothing . Fire it up and its obvious , you cant hide the fact its really all race car , with 600 horse power and a top speed well over 300 klm . Price $600,000.00 .



The Tundra looks tough and is one hell of a truck . That is one big 6 speed transmission they offer , and the larger brakes look after market . Is bigger better ? Certainly , theres nothing worse than being under powered ! It is a big strong truck with out a doubt .

The Ford concept Shelby GR-1 , attrached my attention right away . There are only 2 of these cars 1 is at Ford and made of clay , this one is the only one that runs . Walking around this sleek all polished aluminium proto type . I was impressed with the GT suspension , huge brakes and tires . You need it with the power of a 390 cubic inch V10 putting out 605 hp. A 6 spd trans axle , with limited slip rear end . This car will never be produced I was told , but look for something similar or an idea on a different car . They have the GT and that pretty much is a race car you buy off the show room now. For a sum of $208,000.00 plus shipping , handling , GST .



New ; 2007 Here is some of the cars I thought were worth having a second look . Whether it was the look , color , luxury or power train . The Acura TL looked great all in white . The Spyder GT-P , looks great in red and white . This 350 Z looked great , the color was a stand out . BMW M6 a very nice Euro comfort and go In the luxury department the CL 550 money , but tremendous style . And of course my favourite Cadillac , with this cherry red convertible , or the Corvette powered sedan . The Mustang Shelby GT 500 in its classic white and blue ,with 500 hp. For those who want to drive the streets in a race car the GT 500 # is optional .



Down stairs things were smokin . Starting with local customizer , Joey's Place . There were some of his projects on hand . Starting with a rare 69 Hemi Cuda convertible . The 70 Mustang Fastback looked great , check the motor compartment (wow) . He had 2 chevy's that were hot factory restores 68 Camaro RS/SS and 69 Malibu SS very nice .



There was a large amount of exotics to drool over ! All different colors , styles , with one thing in common they go like hell . I would estimate $4,000,000.00 .
