OPENING
One thing you must admit Enzo Ferrari knew how to build cars . And the Italian built cars have never taken a back seat to anyone , and thats on the track or on the street . Micheal Schumacher's F1 car in its unmistakable Ferrari red was on hand , but the Enzo shown in the back ground was the crowd favorite . With a 1.3 million dollar price tag you could drive it away , or if you didnt feel that rich . There were 2 Lambourdini,s on hand if you wanted something cheaper and more economical .

This is the first Lotus Elise to touch Canadian soil , the very light car , under 2,000 lbs. ,but capable of hauling down the highway at an impressive 230 klm . This car to my surprise , does not rely totally on European technology with a Toyota power plant .

Champ Car was out in full force , after last years over whelming success here in Edmonton 2005 . Paul Tracy's car was on hand for you to view , and if you had any questions Alex Tagliani was there personally to answer them for you . Its looking very good for this years race , dont wait to long to get your tickets !

Budweiser Park was on hand with afew different types of cars , from the Junior funny car fore ground , to the Pro alcohol Funny car in the back . And these gals were on hand to answer any questions you may have about the up coming season . That gets better every year !

Local builders : Joeys Place , had rods and race cars to view , such as this new funny car . Another was Great White , showing off this radically raked chopper.

At the high end of sports cars , I would have to give it to the Corvette . Its new look and the option of 2 power trains ; LS2 or the LS7 (427 cu in) . very good job !

The Mustang GTR , and the Saleen , after market , are always eye catching !

Not often would a roadster fit in this crowd , but the 100 factory built Mallea Solstice by Ron Hodgson . Packs a 400 hp. punch with the corvette V8 power plant . Making this car very interesting and extremely fast . Good Job !

Sports Sedan is the most competitive market , and I must say Cadillac has finally broke through , in a big way . Its all new street style , with 2 hard core power plants ; a 400hp corvette or the Northstar supercharged , all in luxury you would expect .

The Charger is a hot looking 4 dr. sedan . Not a high end luxury car but a Hemi powered sedan , that just looks sharp whether going for groceries or taking your buds to the golf coarse . good job , nice color .

Another good job on a sports sedan , was the Lincoln LS . Very nice lines on this sports Luxury sedan , inside and out . For the refined sports driver .

The bold new look of the Fusion caught my eye , with a GT model to probably follow . But if they dont put some 5.4 Triton V8s in them they will bring up the rear in the h.p. department .

This and that / HRC primarily looks at North American cars . Cadillac has really stepped it up , with appearance and performance . The Magnum and the Charger , both have a bad attitude look . Very good job on both the affordable sports sedan and the sports station wagon . The Ford Fusion also has a fresh look not as stand out mean as the Dodge , but they are probably building the sports sedan as I type .
